In 1872 a Masonic Lodge was chartered in Pleasanton. A few years later, it moved to Livermore where it continues today as Mosaic Masonic Lodge Number 218. However, with Pleasanton's growth came an increasing number of Masons who desired not to take the long horse back ride to Livermore.

John W. Kottinger, one of the founders and the first Justice of Peace of Pleasanton, was also a mason and was the driving force in getting yet another Masonic Lodge chartered in Pleasanton by the name of Alisal Lodge Number 321, F. & A. M. In 2000, the Lodge changed it's name to Pleasanton Lodge, which is now over 100 years old and in 1994, we celebrated a joint Centennial with the City of Pleasanton. To commemorate that awesome event, Warren J. Blomseth, Grand Master of Masons in California, dedicated a Masonic Cornerstone. That symbolic stone can be viewed at the East side of the City's Centennial Art Project in the Civic Park on Main Street (across the street from the Pleasanton City Hall).

Our Masonic Center is also the home of the San Ramon Valley Order of Eastern Star No. 588, Doric Chapter 66 of York Rite Royal Arch Masons, Pleasanton Chapter Order of DeMolay; International Order of the Rainbow for Girls Assembly 58 and the International Order of Job's Daughters Bethel 1, Dublin; Bethel 14 and Bethel 247, Danville.

The three principal tenets of the Masonic Fraternity are Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth. It is by these principles that we serve you, our valued Guests.

"I booked a second seminar with the Pleasanton Masonic Center after having a good experience in 2000. We were treated cordially and felt welcome. Acoustics were wonderful, even with a room full of attendees. As the event planner, I appreciated the economy of being able to plan and serve my own refreshments from the ample and well-equipped kitchen. Pleasanton is a pleasant town in which to hold a seminar. Business services, catering, restaurants and hotels are all located in close proximity."

Renting the Pleasanton Masonic Center for our wedding was the best wedding-planning decision we made! By renting the Pleasanton Masonic Center, not only were we free to do things our way, we also got great referrals and ideas from the Center Manager, that really helped us plan a fantastic wedding. We had our wedding ceremony in the Lodge Room and then our guests simply walked to the next room for the reception in the Dining Hall. After we added centerpieces, flowers and cake, the hall looked like the finest of elegant banquet rooms! Our wedding day was a fairy tale and we owe a great deal to the Pleasanton Masonic Center and the Center's management for making it such a special day!

I would like to express my appreciation to the Pleasanton Masonic Center and the Center Management for the fantastic job they do in helping us arrange our "Senior Financial Workshops" at their facility each quarter. We do 52 workshops per year up and down California and can say that the Pleasanton Masonic Center rental and setup of the room makes this facility the #1 place we do business with.

"The Pleasanton Masonic Center is the perfect venue for many PeopleSoft events, including group meetings and outdoor picnics. We have found the Masonic Center to be the only place in Pleasanton that can hold such large groups yet costs so much less than any other facility in the area. The full kitchen is an added bonus and is always useful when having all day meetings. The staff at the Center is especially great to work with. I plan many events in my role at PeopleSoft and am always pleased at their responsiveness to my needs and their ability to make my events a huge success without any problems whatsoever. Furthermore, I am pleased that the money we spend for these types of events is going to an organization that does so much for our community."
