What an honor it is to be elected to the esteemed position of Master of Pleasanton Lodge #321. Your confidence in me is very humbling. It is an awesome feeling I have as I write this message trying to let you know the responsibility your vote places upon me.

As Master you are looking for me to guide this lodge on to bigger and better goals. I have had the past three years to prepare for this role and now that I am at the door I feel very inadequate and unprepared. I know that I have many brethren here ready to assist me. The past masters are also at my beck and call for guidance and I assure you that I will use you them continuously through out the year.

These last three years have been a very fun filled period of my life. The members of this lodge have always been there ready to assist and work where ever needed. It’s hard to go wrong when everyone is so willing to work together. I trust that this camaraderie that has bonded us together will continue for many more years.

Our Masters for these past three years have set an example that is an easy path to follow but one that will test me to the fullest. Theirs are some mighty big shoes to fill. They have promised to be there for me and you this year. With your, and I mean every member of this lodge, assistance we will continue to grow and prosper.

Our Installation will take on December 11th at 6 PM at the lodge with dinner following. I and the incoming officers cordially invite you and your family and friends to join us for this happy occasion. We, your new officers, would be very pleased to have you with us during our installation. Please join us.

Our Holiday party is scheduled for Sunday following the installation (December 12th). This party is for our Masonic family and the less fortunate needy children in our area. It is held at the lodge where we give out toys and presents and play games, have cotton candy, sno-cones, a wheel of fortune, hot dogs chips and such things. It is a lot of fun for all.

The hit of the party is Santa Who arrives on one of Pleasanton Fire Departments big red fire engines. Awesome is the only way to describe the thrill the kids get when they see Santa in the front seat. This hit party does not come to fruition without work on our part. Your assistance is needed and I would hope that your seasons cheer will prod you into giving a helping hand. You are needed. Will You Help make this a beautiful day for the Kids?
