Basic Education for Candidates

In addition to the memorized proficiency, each candidate is expected to read an education booklet designed specifically for the degree, which he has most recently completed. To demonstrate his understanding of the material, he is asked to answer several questions about the material.  The following booklets are produced by the Grand Lodge of California as part of the Basic Education for Candidates Program.  They do not reveal any of the esoteric portions of the Ritual and their contents may be freely discussed/shared with any non-Masons interested in obtaining knowledge about Freemasonry.
