Masers Message

Dear Brothers,

First of all we hope you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Our Christmas Parties were a GREAT Success! There were more than 50 kids to see Santa Clause and Smokey the Bear on the 12th of December. The look in the eyes of the children when they came through doors was PRICELESS!

On December 15, 2008 we had our 2nd annual Christmas Party for the Masonic

Affiliated Bodies and Guests. We had Brothers and Sisters from four other Lodges visit along with Santa for a couple of hours. The students from the I AM School played five songs which was followed by a fabulous meal with all the trimmings. Thank You to all who brought in the deserts. They were delicious to the eyes as well as the taste buds! Many THANKS to Fred and Sharon, P.J., Ski and Anne, John and Ann, Dick Hughes, Aunt Mary and ALL who helped in many different ways to make the event so special. I am looking forward to next year's party.

We elected an applicant to receive the degrees of Masonry at the last stated meeting. We will have his 1st degree at the end of January. There will be a short EA practice after the Stated Meeting in January, and also set up future practices. We are starting the year off right!

The open installation of Officers for the 2009 year will be on January 31st at 10 am. Please come and support your Lodge!

There will be NO First Sunday Breakfast in January. It will resume again on February 1st.

There will be a Serve Safe Food training on Saturday January 10th at 9 am at the Lodge. This is for all who serve at the breakfast and is required by the County. This is open to all the other Lodges who wish to attend. Please RSVP to Fred Butcher or Steve Hillman.

January 7th Temple Board Meeting at 12 noon Dinner before Meeting at 6 pm, Stated Meeting at 7 pm January 10th Serve Safe Food Course at 9 am.

January 31st Installation of Officers at 10 am.

Siskiyou Lodge #297 meets the first Wednesday of each month for a Stated Meeting at 8:00 p.m., usually preceded by a 6:00 dinner. Call Ken Brown, Secretary, at 529-0109, for information.
