Brethren; Ask
not what Masonry can do for you but what you can do for Masonry. I joined
Freemasonry not because of what it can give me, but what I can do to help the
brotherhood and our community through Self Improvement. I understand that being
a Mason can provide many opportunities, but I believe that community service
and opportunities that I, myself, can provide is rather rewarding. It allows
our Lodge to become more active and stronger as a whole.
So, I ask myself a question that you
should also ask yourself. “Did I join Masonry so I can have a better and more
active appearance, or did I join Masonry to reflect honor to the fraternity?” I
believe that joining Freemasons should not be a part of one's status or resume,
but rather the presentation of one's self to create a fraternity that is
appealing to everyone in the local and surrounding communities.
So, the message to you would be to give
any minimal participation if you have been inactive. For those who have been
active in events, I would like to give you a big thank you and keep up the good
work. I would like our brotherhood to become stronger and possibly more
appealing so that curious individuals can become our new candidates
Fraternally
