      In accordance with the Grand Master¡¯s proclamation of April as ¡°Public Schools Month,¡± annual programs were pre- sented. Arcadia Masonic Lodge and Arcadia High Twelve Club, with the cooperation of the Arcadia Unified School District, presented their ¡°42nd Annual Public Schools Luncheon.¡± on April 17, 2008, to an audience of approxi- mately 240 guests. Following the luncheon and entertainment by the First Avenue Intermediate School ¡°Rock Band,¡± twenty National Merit Scholarship Award students from Arcadia High School  were presented plaques and certificates, The keynote address was given by M.W. Richard Wakefield Hopper, Grand Master of Masons in California, which was very inspirational relating to Free- Masonry  and our public schools system

         Temple City High Twelve Club, with the cooperation of the Temple City Unified School District, presented their ¡°15th Annual Public Schools Recognition Program¡± on April 21, 2008 to an audience of 225 guests.  Following refreshments and entertainment by the Temple City High School Jazz Band, 49 students from the District were awarded framed certificates and ¡°Olympic Style Medallions¡± recognizing their service, demonstration of character, and self-improvement.

     A special recognition plaque was presented posthum- ously to the family of Roberta Reynolds who was the ¡°2007-2008 Teacher of the Year.¡±

    A special plaque was also presented, by the Administration Team from the District, to John Zubrick  for his many years of dedicated service to the District students and for organizing the ¡°Public Schools Recognition Program¡± for the past 15 years.
