FROM  THE  SECRETARY¡¯S  DESK

Bro. Ken Borcher, P.M. has agreed to help with the problem we are having with coaching. He will try to coordinate things and obtain a coaching staff to relieve Bro. Don Griffiths, P.M. of some of the load he is carrying. Bro. Ken will obtain a coaching staff of Brothers who he feels are capable of coaching so when you are asked to coach, you will be more or less obligated to help. If you feel you are a little rusty in the work, suitable assistance will be provided so that you can become a bona fide coach. We are receiving a number of candidate applications so coaching will be definitely needed. Allocate a small amount of your time to coach and be an asset to the Lodge.

April will be a busy month as we recognize the Grand Master¡¯s proclamation of May being ¡°Public Schools Month.¡±                         Our first event will be the  ¡°45th Annual Public Schools Luncheon¡± sponsored by Arcadia Masonic Lodge and Arcadia High Twelve Club with the cooperation of the Arcadia Unified School District. The Grand Master of Masons in California, M.W. Richard Wakefield Hopper will be the keynote speaker.

Our second event will be the ¡°Fifteenth Annual Public Schools Recognition Program¡± sponsored by Temple City High Twelve Club with the cooperation of the Temple City Unified School District.

Both of these events are highly recognized by their School Districts, the parents and students, as well as the communities involved in each one. These are two ways of recognizing our Public Schools System as well as recognizing the Masonic Fraternity for its involvement. We urge you to make your plans now to attend both of these functions if you can to show our support.

Details of both events are shown on page 7.
