Sunday May 17 - 5:00 pm.  Cub Scout Pack 269 Pinewood Derby.

The Sequoia Boy Scout Council Office has graciously offered to throw us a recruitment event pizza party which will take place at the Masonic lodge. The Pizza party will begin at 5pm and will be followed by a short Pack meeting and then on to our Pinewood Derby! We will have several cars that will be already assembled for the boys to use, or you are welcome to purchase a kit from the BSA office and put one together with your cub scouts. The track will be rented from the Boy Scout Council Office and set up for races taking place, hopefully with some new faces!  Some Masons plan on putting their cars on the track for the adult competition portion of the program.

RECENT FUN AND SPECIAL EVENTS

2nd ANNUAL OLIVE BRANCH LODGE PICNIC AND HORSESHOE CONTEST WAS A COMPLETE SUCCESS

If you did not attend our annual picnic and horseshoe competition on Saturday July 19 you missed out on good food, fellowship, a bounce house for the kids, and of course throwing “U” shaped iron.  But don’t worry; we will be back again next July so start practicing your throwing style

Allan Miller, left, Master of the Lodge, and Robert Sutton, right, working on the burgers and dogs.

We played teamsand Ryan (light blue shirt) and his partner Time (green shirt) won.  we had prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

A picture of those who took part in the horseshoe contest.  The photographer plus three others were camera shy.

Olive Branch Lodge Community Outreach for Emergency Aid in Tulare

Olive Branch Lodge to date has provided boxes at five elementary school to support our local Emergency Aid (https://www.facebook.com/tulareemergencyaidcouncil) and their need for food this time of the season.  To date our representative Robert Sutton has picked up food boxes from three schools.  One of them, Kohn School on Friday had 35 boxes of food for Emergency Aid.  Both the school and Emergency Aid are so appreciative of what the Masons are doing for them this time of year!
