The brothers of King David’s Lodge No. 209 are inspired by the courage & wisdom of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and other luminaries of our American Revolution, many of whom were Masons. We, the brethren of San Luis Obispo, share common values based on the Fatherhood of God

and the Brotherhood of Man.

Our brothers enjoy each other's company, involving each Mason's friends and family at activities like coming to monthly “Fun Dinners” in our beautiful Lodge, located at 859 Marsh Street -- upstairs from Founders Bank. Together we actively practice philanthropy focused on children and families.

Are you like us? To become a Mason, a man must simply ask and get to know us. We're a friendly & welcoming group! Call (805) 545-5681 for further information.

2010 VISION STATEMENT FOR KING DAVID’S LODGE

King David’s Lodge stands as a venerable lighthouse. We cherish our past while illuminating the Door of Freemasonry for men of quality within San Luis Obispo who would freely seek admission, if they only knew the door was close at hand.

Members of King David’s Lodge celebrate the Wisdom of our ancient brethren and luminaries of the American Revolution, as well as the contributions of our own Lodge since its founding in 1870. We will do all we can this year to show respect to those who have advanced Masonry locally, such as by providing transportation to our older brothers and their loved ones who might not otherwise get to the beautiful Lodge that has been our home since 1913. Refurbishment of our Lodge while staying true to its original architecture will be a priority this year.

We will promote with renewed zeal the Strength of fellowship among the brethren, making extensive use of our kitchen and the new Recreation Room in our Lodge. Each of us is encouraged to consider how any event we plan to attend might become an occasion for other brothers to join us – a concert at the Cohan Center, a night cheering the San Luis Obispo Blues, a “Fun Dinner” at the Lodge – such that harmonious fellowship is as ingrained as the regular business of our Stated Meetings; harmony being the strength and support of all societies, especially of ours.

We will actively display the Beauty of Freemasonry to men of quality within our local community, by practicing philanthropy focused on children and families. While recognition is never our primary goal, we will seek every opportunity to make it known that Masons are active in San Luis Obispo, such that our light is seen as emanating from a refuge for men and their families who share common values, based on the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man.
